What’s New at American Heritage School This Year?
With a full K-12 program solidly in place, we are increasing our focus on improving the student experience at all
grade levels. Here are a few of the exciting changes you can expect for the 2012-2013 school year:
Improved science resources and equipment in elementary, middle, and high school
Help labs for writing, math, science, and art in middle and high school
Student government and leadership opportunities in elementary school
Additional voice amplification systems for teachers in elementary school classes, and selected specialty classes
Additional electives in high school, including AP Chemistry, AP English Literature, AP Music Theory, AP Physics, Advanced Art Portfolio, Constitutional Studies, Education Internship and Journalism.
More extracurricular options: Intel/Micron Sponsorship of AHS Robotics Team, interschool debate competitions, and National Honors Society in high school
Introduction to World Languages elective in 7th Grade: Experience a semester of Spanish language and culture followed by a semester of French language and culture.
Devotional Presentations in high school.
Additional 6th and 12th Grade Core classes.
