American Piano Quartet at AHS
American Piano Quartet at AHS, next Friday, November 22, 2:15 p.m., for students in grades 3-12. To send our students off on Thanksgiving Break in high spirits, we will be treating them to a special performance by renowned piano virtuosos Robin Hancock, Scott Holden, Jeffrey Shumway, and Paul Pollei, who are making a stop at AHS between other performances at BYU and Temple Square that day.
The American Piano Quartet, formed in 1984, founded by international ambassador of piano, Paul Pollei, is dedicated to performing original works, transcriptions, and arrangements for the combination of two pianos/eight hands. The quartet is composed of four musicians who focus their careers in all areas of performance, teaching, composing, arranging, and conducting. Their tours have taken them throughout the United States, the Far East and Europe; from Piano Island in Xiamen, China, to the twilight of Forks, Washington.
Mr. Hancock, husband of our very own Cheri Hancock, has also arranged a very special quartet number just for AHS. Parents and families are invited.
